Alrighty, where to begin. First a disclaimer: (Disclaimer: I'm not much of a drawing artist, so feel free to take anything I say here with a truckload of salt.)
Alrighty, first, let me get this out of the way first. You may have done it on SAI (AWESOME program, BTW), but I FREAKIN LOVE how it almost looks like a wood carving, ala ancient Chinese artwork. The style may not be, but the color and the the deep lines really pull it off well. I also like the way you wrote her name .
Now on the other hand, something I should have mentioned, that despite being a Chinese character, she's from a very poor part of Hong Kong in the 1980s, which wouldn't really have her wearing a qipao. No biggie though, a TON of other people drew her with one on too.
However, I like the thick lines, like I said before, along with the tan-ish background. I also like the thick hair you gave her o.o Almost all the other pictures of her have fairly boring straight hair. There's some minor stuff with her arms, but no biggie.
And once again, I have to say, I love how it looks almost like a wooden carving o.o. It really adds to the impact of the picture, and it's very impressive!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

And thank you for drawing one of my characters!
